When Kim was little (I'll let her fill in the details, as I didn't exist yet) our mom and aunt Marty took her to see Gone with the Wind in the movie theater. It was quite the experience and she wanted to share that with her family.
Fast forward a number of years, and Kim and I took Jocelyn who, at the time, was about the same age Kim was when she first saw it, to see the same movie at the Byrd Theater in Richmond.
It was a real big-screen movie to see, and my first viewing. After getting situated (and almost getting in a fight with two men who grumbled that we were in their line of sight) we ate popcorn, drank giant sodas and introduced the next generation to a movie classic.

I have to admit, I am hooked on the old south (and no, not slavery). It must have been a combination of things, visits through the south as a child and yes, "Gone With the wind". I loved the southern drawl, the big dresses, the farms. And Scarlet, she certainly had bad behavior, but is always fun to watch. And forward thinking, "I'll just worry about that tomorrow."
